Anna Monders writes pictures books and middle-grade fiction, often with a science twist. Publisher’s Weekly featured her as a “Writer to Watch” for her spring 2026 debut, Tested. Kirkus Reviews called this middle-grade dystopian novel “a compelling, thought-provoking vision,” and it was honored as a Junior Library Guild selection. Anna’s second book, a humorous informational picture book published by MIT Kids Press, releases in summer 2027. She holds an MFA in writing for children from Simmons University and an MS in earth and planetary sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
